Become an Instructor
The Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross is the primary source of crisis prevention, preparedness and response education in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties through programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED. Trained Red Cross instructors make our education programs successful. By becoming an instructor you can have a lasting impact on the safety and well-being of others.

How it Works
The Red Cross encourages individuals with the basic knowledge of our programs to consider instructor training. Through this training individuals can have a cost effective way to reach large groups and enjoy the convenience of offering courses whenever and wherever they desire. Additionally, Health and Safety Instructor courses allow individuals and organizations to work with America’s best training and support system.

The instructor courses listed below include the American Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor Training which is designed to assist individuals with the skills necessary to facilitate an effective learning environment and the knowledge needed to represent the Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Red Cross instructors may also access important information from the American National Red Cross through the Instructor’s Corner. This site includes current health and safety headlines, program updates and changes, electronic forms and archives instructor newsletters.
