30-HOUR HOME HEALTH AIDE MODULE (for nurse assistants)
This 30-hour module for nurse assistants will teach the theory needed to provide personal care and home services in a private
home or hospice setting. This program will focus on the role and responsibilities of a “Home Health Aide”. Upon course
completion, participants receive a Red Cross Home Health Aide certificate of completion and CPR certification. This
program meets the requirements of Homecare University Home Care Aide. Upon Cost successful completion, students will
be eligible to take the Home Care Aide National Certification Exam.

Classes meet for one week, Monday – Friday.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have completed the Red Cross Nurse Assistant Program in the last 12 months or be a “Certified” Nurse
Assistant and provide a State License. , must provide a negative PPD TB skin test or chest x-ray result. Must be in sound physical condition with no health condition which cou ld be aggravated by participation in the program.

90-HOUR HOME HEALTH AIDE TRAINING

The Home Health Aide Training Program teaches 90 hours of skill and theory that will prepare participant to provide quality
care in a private duty, hospice or respite setting. This program will focus on the role and specific responsibilities of a
Home Health Aide such as personal care, meal planning, companionship, safety and household management. Program also
includes certification for First Aid and CPR. This program fulfills the requirements of the National Association for Home
Care and Hospice. Upon successful completion students will be eligible to take the Home Care Aide National Exam.

Classes meet for three consecutive weeks, Monday – Friday.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have minimum 9th reading comprehension.  Diploma/GED preferred, negative PPD TB skin test or chest x-ray result. Must be in sound physical condition.

Training offered from 9:00 am-3:30 pm every (See training calendar for dates).
