The American Red Cross is a leader in aquatic safety. Through authorized providers throughout southeast Michigan, more than 117,000 people have been Red Cross-trained in water safety including lifeguard and learn-to-swim courses. In a state that has the largest concentration of fresh water coastline, the Red Cross helps ensure the safety of people in and around Michigan lakes.
